Founded in 1749 by Francois Valle years before he became Commandante of the Fort of Sainte Genevieve and The King of Spain made him Don Francois Valle for saving their Fort San Carlos (now St. Louis).
270 years later as The Valle Mining Company, his 4000+ acre property every year absorbs 21,000 tons of carbon dioxide and puts out 14,000 tons of oxygen, enough to meet the needs of 63,000 people. [USDA Forest Facts]

If you like riding side by side with your horses and friends, you might be asking, "To where though?"

What we offer on the 4000+ acres:

1) 3.5 miles long, the abandoned MR & BT Railway right-of-way (no tracks or ties, flat, 100 ft. wide, goes through the Haunted Railroad Tunnel)
2) the abandoned "Hillsboro-Farmington" county road from down at Buster Crossing up to the Crowbar Shaft with its vista,
3) haul roads from over 100 mines from near the Valles Mines General Store and the Artesian Well to
4) permanent logging roads
5) variety, from 2 10-acre lakes up to Hill 1133, the highest hill in the county.
